This Silver Ballcourt Marker is a replica of a wonderfully preserved stone disc belonged in the category known as ballcourt markers, which were set in ballcourt floors. The motif is, of course, a ballplayer in the act of hitting a ball with his hip and the text recounts the date of dedication of the ballcourt it was set in.
